Mission
Getting to know the Bible, living out the Word, and sharing with others our conversion experience, so as to participate in evangelization.
Duty and Regulations
- Members need to foster team spirit; try their best to participate and be responsible for the group.
- Members should keep attendance their priority, and prepare well for class and discussion.
- Members learn the Word together with humility, and put what we have learnt from the Bible into practice.
Background
Encounter of the Word was started in CMCC parish in 1998. Grace Liu is the speaker. We have the Old Testament Bible class, for which we have studied Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. The History books include: Joshua, Judges, Samuel I & II, Kings I & II, Chronicles I & II and the Maccabees; others include the Major and Minor prophets, Wisdom Literature, and now we are doing Job,
For the New Testament Bible class, we are now doing the Synoptic Gospels. For activities, Encounter of the Word has hosted Bible talks and workshops for parishioners.
